Wondercon

I went to my first ever Wondercon and I had a blast with the B.F.
*If you have never heard of a Wondercon then I suggest clicking here to find out*
Thankfully, he prepped me before hand (there was A LOT of walking) and told me to be "comfortable"...well, that meant bringing out my Converse and my go to jeans. For good measure I threw on a scarf which worked out in my favor since it was windy and rainy that day.

Though from the looks of the other folks that attended I was well under dressed!! :P Guess I'll have to wear my costume next year.

Neutral Palette

All I have to say is that these Sam Edelman smoking flats rock! Super comfy, they're garnished with spikes & crystals, and the color is this perfect taupe grey.

Alexander Wang:Britt

I know think I'm infatuated with Alexander Wang. From his handbag collection to his shoes..I simply LOVE it all. Surprisingly these bad boys I have on are more comfortabe than they appear to be.
And I'm completely embracing one of the biggest trends of the season

Red Accents

Red=Bold..at least to me it does. I definately like the color, but when it comes to me wearing a top/bottom in it I tend to shy away.
So, when I received word of the next "Bloggers Do It Better" challenge I thought why not just showcase accents of Red instead of a whole ensemble. It still has that touch of boldness, but it's within my comfort zone....And the best part? I was able to wear my new Jason Wu for Target "Milu" kitty scarf :).
I'm always up for a good fashion challenge; it makes me think outside of the box. Maybe the next time around I'll wear a bright red pant or sweater.
Oh and yes those are indeed braces..I try not to smile with them showing, but my loving B.F loves for me NOT to look so serious, so I added that last pic. especially for him <3.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Winston

 `
I always get excited whenever I stumble upon something that is unique and it's an accessory.Winston is my beloved ring that I found while shopping around San Francisco one day and the best part of all is that he is an elephant.

If you have a love for animal themed jewelry then check out Moss Mills, KJL, or even Ebay for some quirky yet chic pieces.

The "Rocco"

I absolutlely love this handbag, BUT (yes, there's a but) it's just so darn heavy. No need to use free weights for exercise when you are hauling around Rhodium plated hardware..nothing like a little bit of a sacrifice.
However, it's such a beauty with it's durable pebbled leather and I couldn't resist this Midnight Blue version.

Daytime Sequins

So who says you can't wear sequins for daytime casual wear?!..certainly not me. I'm all for it. I've worn this little number for work with flat ankle boots and a black cardigan. I've even thrown on my trusty Converse Chucks and roamed around the flea market.
Next time you walk by a sequined piece don't dismiss it right away;consider the endless possibilities it may have.

For some more glittery inspiration check out Kristina's blog, "Pretty Shiny Sparkly" and her link up

X-Mas Eve

Couldn't of asked for a better Christmas Eve day. The weather was absolutely perfect. Listened to all sorts of Christmas songs, spent time with loved ones, and enjoyed a great meal.Unfortunately, I was too impatient and I had already opened all my gifts the night before. Nonetheless, it was still...perfect. <3

Rolling Stones

Since the B.F and I weren't able to celebrate my birthday on Saturday we decided to do it on Sunday. We headed over to Casey's Cupcakes in Laguna Beach, then headed over to the movie theatre (watched "New Year's") and ended the day with dinner at Houston's.  Wish I would've layered on a cardigan...it was a bit too chilly, but the fact that I can still survive with a thin jacket in DECEMBER is quite impressive. We Californians are spoiled.

Leopard + Shorts

Love having Sundays off. It's pretty much the only day out of the week that I get to spend the whole day with the B.F. We had brunch, ran errands, drank Gingerbread Latte's and ended the day by watching "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation". Perfect (oh except for the minor clothing malfunction I had with my shorts...accidentally tore off a belt loop, DOH!)

Leopard & Stripes

Was able to snap some photos in the nick of time..it rained within minutes. However, it made for the perfect weather to wear my new hat which was part of the Albertus Swanepoel for Target collection.

Sunday Outing

The rain came pouring down early this morning and I for sure thought it'd last all day. Either way I was still determined to have a Sunday outing, but before I knew it the rain had cleared up and out came the sun. Yay!!
The B.F & I enjoyed breakfast at Mimi's Cafe (yes, I know, this place is more of an "elderly" type of restaurant, but they have good food) and then we went over to A'Maree's on the Coast, but was bummed to find out they were closed. Sooo sad. I could see all sorts of I need to have now goodies. Maybe it was best that we didn't get to go in now that I think about it.

*And in case you were wondering about the first pic... those are indeed braces. Better late than never!

Balboa Island

Had a great time at Balboa Island. Cute homes were decorated for Halloween and there was an assortment of little shops/eateries to choose from. One of my particular favorites was A'Maree's Boutique. They carry labels such as Lanvin, Balenciaga and Givenchy. I will definitely be back again.
